Big festivity at Deharde

300 guests celebrating

There is good reason for celebrating at Deharde. Noumerous investments in infrastructure and machinery and last but not least the creation of many new work places are visible elements of the success of the last years. In order to say thank you for commitment and support, Deharde invited staff as well as business partners and local politicians and players to a big celebration in their new “Beluga-“Hall. Extern guests – some even arrived from France -  had the chance to get informed about Dehardes business activities at info-points and guiding tours. First contacts could be hold over coffee, cake, delicious icecream and soup.

At early evening, Marc Brestrich and Eilert Wilken (both Deharde) explained about Deharde and its development at the harbor Varelerhafen. Hannes Mechler (P3 Group) and Bertrand George (Airbus) presented details about the Beluga Project. Afterwards, a delicious live cooking menu and lively music invited to cheerful get-together and pleasant networking.

Like one guest summarized later the evening: Actually, the Beluga-Hall should always be kept free for events like this!

We thank all guests for joining us and hope you enjoyed a nice stay at Deharde.

We would enjoy showing you which potentials we can offer to you. We are looking forward to welcome you!

Assembly of the first Super Shell for Beluga XL

Aircraft fuselage of Airbus’ cargo plane takes shape

After successful production of frames and subshells for the airfreighter Beluga XL at Deharde, now the assembly of the first super shell has begun. Instead of the ordinary rollforming, the Skins of the Sub Shells at Deharde are bend on a fully hydraulic press brake. This innovative technology achieves top quality. Sub Shells and frames are now mounted on special jigs to the 8 x 8 m Super Shells. The jigs were designed and manufactured at Deharde’s experienced Plant Engineering department.

Later on, the big components will be shipped to Toulouse where final assembly of the whole airplane will be accomplished at Airbus. The start of the assembly of the Super Shells marks a new milestone of this challenging project.

VarelDangast-Tag and family day at Deharde

Large attendance of visitors and family-members

On Sunday, August 7th 2016, Deharde opened its doors to families of its staff and participants of the VarelDangast-Tag. On this occasion, our division “Machining” showed several state-of-the-art-machines in action. Guests were likewise impressed by the exhibits in the new huge workfloor, where supershells of the cargo-plane Beluga XL will be constructed shortly. Here the divisions “Aerospace”, “Plant Engineering”, “Wind tunnel models” and “Casting Tools” informed at different booths about their jobs and performance. People were also given information about the HJH foundation. The staff department presented apprenticeship, career and prospect at Deharde at a glance.

Windy, but sunny weather not only invited to drop in and learn about the company and its activities, but also invited to enjoy the cheerful atmosphere and to take a break with drinks and food while the children had fun trying out trampolines, mountain climbing and others games.

We thank all our guests and assistants for a bright day and hope you enjoyed your visit at Deharde!

Company succession at Deharde decided

Holger Hoffmann initiates further development

Holger Hoffmann, previously the sole shareholder-managing director of the Varel-based Deharde-Maschinenbau Helmut Hoffmann GmbH, organised his company succession. As new shareholders, he brought his two long-term managers Marc Brestrich and Bernd Beschorner on board along with Tobias Schulz, the owner of the Visbeker Schulz Systemtechnik Group and the Süd Beteiligungen GmbH. The traditional company, founded in 1909, looks forward to a promising future with this new team.

“I am happy that two merited service providers from the Deharde management are among the owners as well as an experienced strategic partner and a financial investor who has proven to like and be able to handle medium-sized companies”, explained Holger Hoffmann. His family has determined the fate of Deharde for almost fifty years. Despite his withdrawal from the management, he will remain closely connected to the company as a shareholder and consultant.

Marc Brestrich, who is now in the role of shareholder-managing director, made it his goal to further expand the wonderful position of the company, in particular in the strongly growing aerospace and aviation segment: “With the financial power of the newcomers Schulz and Süd BG, Deharde will be in an even better position to take advantage of business chances and to continue to write success story of the company in terms of the family at the strategically important harbour in Varel.”

The Schulz Group, a family-run company with more than 1,000 employees from the Bremen area as well as the Süd Beteiligungen GmbH will accompany and support the further development of Deharde.

The transaction is still subject to approval by the anti-trust authorities.
